Yes U Can 4 Women is about assisting others to lead happy and fulfilling lives and it is a well known fact that, if you want to experience this often elusive emotion, then giving is the fast track way to a life of happiness on an ongoing basis. I have recently become a supporter of CASM (Citizen Advocacy South Metro) http://www.casm.org.au/ and could not think of a better way to give, then to offer someone in need support, either by donation, creating awareness, assisting with fundraising events or by becoming a citizen advocate, associate or board member. There are so many ways to support this very worthy organisation and I am starting out by doing what I can to get the message out to all those I know as it is important for organisations such as CASM to get the exposure.
CASM is an organisation committed to promoting the protection of, and advocacy for people with developmental disabilities. It brings the needs of an individual with a disability to the attention of a citizen who, with my support, and yours, will respond to those needs through a freely given, usually lasting relationship.
Every day I spend a few minutes expressing my gratitude for all that I have, all that I am and all that I will become. I know how fortunate I am as I have my health, a loving family and loads of fabulous friends who are around to celebrate with me and to pick me up when I fall. I live in a lovely home in a peaceful, scenic area. I can walk, I can run and I have the ability to make choices that will serve and support me and my family every day. I am free! Free to venture in any direction I choose and, for that freedom, I am eternally grateful which is why I have chosen to ‘pay it forward’ and support CASM. The individuals that benefit from the work of this wonderful organisation need the support of friendship and someone to guide them to a place where they feel confident, loved and happy as well as protecting their rights and interests.
